Additional strengthening ribs introduced. Overall thickness increased by 0.5mm. Pivot pin locking nut locating feature added to side strut

Origin8 specialises in rebuilding or resourcing parts, which are often difficult (sometimes impossible) to re-purchase from the original equipment manufacturer. 

Using tried and tested reverse engineering methods, we can reproduce almost any part, using a variety of different materials (plastic, metal, composite etc.) and  manufacturing processes. 

Alternatively, we can reverse engineer a part or product and output the raw CAD data to our clients' so they can be made by them or their usual supplier. 

Services offered include:

  • Part/Product geometric survey. This can be performed at an off-site location or by sending the physical part to Origin 8 (size limitations apply)

  • Precision engineering measurement tools including 3D scanning, hand measurements and splash mould/impression capture

  • Design optimisation. Why reproduce an exact replica of the same part which failed? We can add increased structural integrity, locating features and aesthetic improvements etc.

  • We can reverse engineer most parts or products and faithfully reproduce them in the original material (plastic, metal, composite etc.) or to a new material specification of the client's choice.
